Wordpress is wonderful easy to use and update, good FREE plugins. Joomla has some good features too but the at lower speed hard to make seo on the pages and you need some tutorials to start working with joomla

If you are looking at something that is SEO friendly right out the box, then it is wordpress. However, if you set Joomla properly and use correct plugins/setting, it is not too far from Wordpress.

Wordpress just rocks when it comes to SEO, it has a lot of useful plugins and it's core itself is highly optimized for the search engines.

So many know it all's - not enough time.

SEO is a process, not an event. It happens over time, takes work, and may not turn out as planned. You can "SEO" any website, any format. WordPress is now considered a CMS. They always wanted to be considered for the category and if you really look at the foundational premise, you will agree that it has enough to qualify.

The nice part about popular code like WordPress, Joomla, etc., is the community support, especially in the plug in department. Somebody out there has created whatever you need, they did it for themselves first, but let it loose in the "wild". WordPress has at least 20 free SEO plug in products and an equal amount of pay-per-view add ons. There is nothing that will do it all on autopilot, but there are a few that come damn close.

As with anything in web design you are going to have to DO SOMETHING that looks a little like work. I hate working, so I avoid it if at all possible, but web design is not an area that you can avoid work. You can slap up a site, sure, but in the end you are the only one who cares about it. Promoting your site is the hard part. Creating content is really hard, especially if you have little to say. Words are the essence of the internet, not pictures or multimedia. Learn how to create good content and once search engines cache your data you will be on your way. The rest is a time honored waiting game.

Doubt if that helps, but what the hell.

By default, WP not best for SEO, because /tag /archive etc it's duplicate content. Of course you can change this by using plug-ins, but architecturally Wordpress is not sharpened by the CEO.

I would recommend Datalife Engine... You can even use different Meta keywords and description on every page.

I don't also understand why people are so crazy about WP. Actually I've found out this issue when I was testing this platform for our site.

Wordpress is better because is simple. Simplicity is good. Drupal is more complicated and it's overkill for small sites.
