Which CMS is Best for Webmaster resource site

I want to create a site where people can download scripts, templates for free.

I am confused between CMS,
Joomla, wordpress, dragonfly, e107 or ???

Please give me some suggestions..

It will be better if members also can submit their own templates ans scripts.

 

I advice you to try Danneo - it is free open source content management system.
It is secure and comfortable. The default language is Russian, but if You want, You can ask me to give You English language pack.

ModX is definitely pretty sweet, if you're solid in HTML/CSS, the cms kind of works around your code, its great... it doesnt take over like joomla or wordpress.

But i want visitors to upload files.
And some permission to files that who can download or who not.
I am looking this time at dragonfly CMS.

You should definitely go for joomla if you are planning for make a resource site as it is having many many mods-components which may be used to make the site as you feel

register global...? are you are talking about server setting...? if yes then there is simple solution for this also...

 

Can you tell me what is that solution.
And i don't like joomla's URL structure

 

there is mod if you like to display the urls like (.html) or use the seo button.... in the admin configuration section to make is search engine friendly urls...

as far as register globals is concerned you can easily put this to "off" you will find a ".htaccess" file after you do the seo button on... write the following code to put off the register globals:

php_flag register_globals off

and your register globals will be off...

Drupal!!!

I have the following webmaster/design sites developed using Drupal:

I have not found anything that you can't to with Drupal from a theme point of view and a functionality point of view.

I don't know of any Drupal theme sites, Drupal themes seem to be few and far between.

We will be putting some themes up on DrupalSnippets.com soon - I think we will be charging $40 per theme, it depends on the design.

Here’s a question I get all the time in emails and discussion groups. It all depends on what question you actually mean:
1. What site can I build to make a lot of money? Many people look for the top keywords (mesothelioma has been the #1 word for a long time), and try to put together sites for that word. The competition is unbelievable for that particular keyword (and many of the other top words), so unless you can think of a good, unique hook or major viral marketing idea that no one else has, you’re pushing a pretty big rock up a pretty steep hill.
Instead you’re looking for a niche, a more focused theme that doesn’t have as much competition and has people interested in finding out more about it. The series I wrote called People Getting Rich Online is a good place to start. Here’s how I do it (from the post):

I keep a small, spiral bound notebook next to my laptop and I write down ideas as they come to me. If the answer is even probably, it needs to go on the page. I always start with broad, general categories and drill down later.

2. Should I build a blog or regular website? This is another question I get asked a lot. Blogging is difficult. To be popular you need to produce at least two posts a day or more. On the other hand, Google loves blogs (I get visited by the GoogleBot at least once a day and sometimes more). If you have the time and patience, blogging can be rewarding.
I have been thinking lately that a well-themed site with a blog is the best way to go.
