    hello

i want to create a website that is easy to update from "admin".
i need a wysiwyg editor and the ability to update images, add testimonials and so on..also seo-friendly urls would be nice..i don't want anything too complicated since the design is already done..thanks

You can use Wordpress if you want easy updating , other wise you can choose Joomla or Drupal both are good.

Myself I would choose Joomla - as it offers greater versatility (in my opinion) if you want to expand to more complex applications in the future.

As many suggested, Wordpress is the best way to go. Easy to maintain and navigate, has everything you need.

Figure out what features you want now (and what features might be important in the future), then examine what's out there and go from there.

The worst thing is a) picking a system far to large and complex for your needs or b) picking a system lacking essential functionality that you need.

Use HTML with Wordpad. Else take WordPress and all the plugins you need :)

Surely it depends what the content is and is the project going to be scaleable. Is WP best? Im not convinced it is tbh - it certainly is not a scaleable as joomla off the shelf.

Wordpress allows you to remove the "Powered by WP" link? Even paying?

Since everyone seems to be singing WP and Joomla as they always seem to, let me offer an alternative. There are some other nice easy to use CMSs out there with the features you seek, one I would pitch for to meet your needs is Website Baker. Also CMS made simple is pretty decent. It all really depends on the feature set you're looking for,
