Hostgator are good, if you're driving heavy traffic I recommend getting VPS plan, and for that I recommend Liquid Web, whoever you choose make sure you get 24/7 support.

Based on my experience since the last 3 years I can safely say that Hostgator is the best all of all I've tried. Earlier my sites were hosted with GoDaddy but their site is so cluttered its difficult to find your way. But I still held on to them. But when my sites were infected with malware and they wouldn't help me out with it, I thought its time to move on. Of course, they didn't help me with the transition also and I didn't know much about it then. I lost the database of one site during the transition and I had to build it up again from scratch.

On the other hand the same experiences with Hostgator proved to be extremely satisfying because their customer support is excellent. Not only did they help me with malware problem, they even helped me to install the database and get my site up and running in no time.

So I always recommend Hostgator if you are thinking of long term serious online business.

Dreamhost is my pick. Haven't had any downtime with them and their servers always seem to be running at their fullest efficiency.

Unlike Yahoo hosting provider they allow .htaccess files and much more. Yahoo is reliable but limited in what you can do.

I've used a lot of different hosts over the years, but none compare to Hostgator. I've never once had any problems with them and long may it continue!

I will suggest only hostgator .

Many of them stated that godaddy is good , but they are good for domain registration not good for hosting...

Also hostgator provides a lot of offers for newbies such as 25% off coupon codes. If you need more detaile on hosting just PM me

If you need shared hoting, I'd suggest hostgator. For VPS ServInt worked brilliantly for me.
