    Hi,

    I want to start file hosting site like rapidshare. It will be very small as i will host my files and some few users. Some hosted files could be warez ones. I will be the developer of my site and site script is php.
    Because of some warez files i don`t want my hosting account to be suspended. I need shared hosting which is very cheap. Currently i am thinning on siteground but not sure yet because of their site moderation :S So I want to know which host service is suitable for such site?

    well you should definetly try to get a server located in Russia or at least some country that can provide fast internet but also authorities are more tolerant regarding warez hosting.

    Someone just mentioned above - Hostgator will not allow such service to be hosted on their servers.

    Shared Hosting is not Suitable for File Hosting. You will need More and More Hard Disk... Try Dedicated server or VPS...

    a dedicated host server makes sense.
    get it with a firewall protection as well.
    for your application, a dedicated one is better and feasible

    You need to ask this q at a filesharing form to get a proper answer. You need dedi server from ovh or leaseweb or hetzner. Cheapest is kimsulfi 2g. Pm me if you want to discuss as i am in same boat.

    I am not aware of web hosting companies that allow warez files tho

    When it comes to hosting price is a big deal. But for me hostgator is the best for it is very flexible and offers friendly control panel.

    You will need to have a dedicated server, but you will need to read the providers terms and conditions on hosting file sharing sites because they will often say you cannot host illegal content or warez sites.

    Not just bandwidth but server load under all those downloads. Shared hosting providers will cut your service if you slow down their servers.
