Which is better.. content or spam?

I've read over and over that the key to getting traffic and getting a paycheck is good content. But when I read posts by those of you who are making lots of money, it seems like most have 15 or 20 or 50 sites! Most must be automated, like Amazon stores, etc. So in REALITY, if I want to pay off my student loans before the pole shift, should I ditch the time-consuming articles and put up a bunch of automated affiliate pharmacies or something? I want to think quality trumps quantity but I'm starting to have serious doubts.

Well Content is and will always remain the king in long run. If you are thinking of making a quick buck affiliate stores are good. People make a lot of money using affiliate store.

But if you are looking for big money then go for the original content website. Yesterday i was studying a website which has around 1.5 Million pages indexed in google and that website has pure original content. They are making atleast million dollars an year.

 

To create a load of pages you need to semi-automate your site with databases and page templates etc.

Its hard to create a really good site with no original content.

Learn how to make your words sound interesting to other also when writing. Find your style and use it . Anyway you learn by doing mistakes, that's why people have a lot of websites lol no i joke but that's not so far from the truth

 

I'm going to tell it like it is - you can write original content all day long, that alone is not going to do anything for you. If your "original content" doesn't have the keywords google wants, isn't stimulating for readers, isn't searched for, AND you don't rank for it - it's worthless.

On the other hand, with automated sites or database driven sites, you can throw them up in a quick amount of time, point some links to them and see what happens... when you do this with 20+ sites several are bound to bring in some good traffic.

Your best bet - is to use a mix of tactics. Don't spend all your time writing content, but make sure you get a paragraph or two on pages you want to rank well.

You also have to realize and experiment with thousands of other factors as well. The page layout, colors, conversion rates, page file size, internal linking, etc .... all these things have factors on how you rank and how your traffic converts to cash.

Hey thanks, I really appreciate the feedback. =) I think my plan will be to train a bunch of monkeys to write original content for me. Or maybe squids, to save on ink. In either case, I get the original content AND mass production. I really don't see how I can lose.
