Which is the best CMS software?

I am about to start my own CMS website. Which is the best and easy to implement, joomla, drupal, or whatever? Thanks.

 

Do a search, I think I've seen that question asked a couple times.

In my opinion - WordPress or Drupal.

 

I think the answer is "different strokes for different folks"

Whilst Wordpress may be best for one type of site, sNews or Silverlight may suit another.

There are many variables to consider .. this is why the sites where you can "test drive" are so handy to have on tap.

 

It really depends on what you want to do.. But, IMHO, Drupal is best because it can do pretty much everything..

The things I look for in a good CMS are:

• Ease of use, and a friendly learning curve
• A robust development community
• The "strength" of the lead developers -- will they stay with the project? For example, WordPress is backed by Automattic.com, which is in part funded by the New York Times Co.
• A wealth of plugins/modules that help you build sites for different purposes
• A larger userbase

I also like it when I see mass market books appearing for a particular CMS solution (WordPress, Drupal, and JOOMLA are examples), since that helps learning, managing, and awareness.

Wordpress or Joomla for me
Lot's of plugins and good support.

 

Wordpress is easy to use but you need to install a plug-ins. Joomla and Drupal is a CMS management system that needs to have a script knowledge and can be use from simple, personal homepages to complex corporate web application.

I'm using joomla, i tried drupal too but it needs more programming skills imho.

 

i dunno why you guys keep saying that.. I have ZERO programming skills, yet i run a very large, semi-complex site on Drupal ..

 

I think i installed too much modules and i messed up everything when i tried to upgrade it to 5.7 version.

Joomla is imho more difficult to mess up.

 

I think that's like asking "What is the best religion?" or "Which state makes the best barbeque?" There just isn't going to be a definitive answer.

 

Ive read several threads about this topic already. There is no real answer.

 

.. and.. "Which is better Windows or Mac" ... actually that one is easy to answer.. but the Windows people are just too blinded by Bill to listen..

 

It totally depends on what you're trying to accomplish. I've done sites based on CMSMadeSimple and clients were plum happy. I've done sites on Joomla, and clients couldn't figure it out. There is no "best" CMS, they all have their benefits and drawbacks. Wordpress isn't really a CMS, but it does work well for smaller sites that don't need alot of bells and whistles.

 

joomla is the best out of all ,, so many modules and stuff easy useable and stuff

 

ive tried a few and only liked e107 and wordpress so far but I dont know much!
didnt like joomla came preinstalled with to much bs you have to remove but i hear a lot of people bashing e107

 

once i tried joomla and drupal.
But they are hard to learn.
Use wordpress for its simplicity
