    Hi all

    i want to start a forum.Which would be the best forum i can afford.I like VBulletin.It looks cool.How much i need to pay for that?

    Or what would you recommend as a free good forum script for me.I checked vanilla forum script .its not looking very nice.I am using linux hosting

    vbulletin is the best hands down. It costs $180 for an owned license. Just check the site www.vbulletin.com for the prices

    I would go with vb it does evrything you need in a forum plus has too many add-ons to list

    I prefer IPB over VB. However in terms of addons and extra little things VB is definitely the way to go!

    vbulletin is best forum CMS but its not free among free forum CMS, phpbb CMS considers best.

    If you are just starting your forum, there is no need in spending $180 on vbulletin. Most forums close within a year from when they were opened.

    Personally, I would use MYBB for the first 6 months - 1 year. If your site is still open and growing at the end of that year, then invest into vbulletin or invision power board.
