Subdreamer is really bad. It's pretty much a dead CMS. Just take a look at their custom-plugin/modding community www.SubDreamer.org and you will see that it is dead.

There's a site that provides commercial add-ons for SubDreamer.
    http://www.sddepot.com/
    Code (markup):
Not sure how good those plug-ins are though.

I looked at it, nothing too impressing. Not much to see actually.

I have used Subdreamer some time ago and switched to Joomla.
Subdreamer was a nice and easy entry into the world of CMS and understanding them. However development of necessary plugins was slow and some features of the core were even annoying.
However integration with phpbb was easy and it worked. And I was able to set up a site without any CMS knowledge within minutes.

However joomla is more powerful, more flexible and there are more and better addons (and even programmer who know how to write them).

So after a while of waiting for new features to be implemented and waiting for some long requested plugins, I decided to give joomla a try and I really enjoy it. I am running currently three sites with it planning the fourth and I am not disappointed at all.

I also do think you should use joomla if you want the best CMS for many sites' maintenance - it is an easy tool and also very competitive towards other possible. PHPwebsite is also a good choice for your cms - try them both and make your decision - I hope I helped here

Drupal=very powerful but needs heavy developer investment
Wordpress=easy to use and good at what it does, but a one trick pony
Joomla=Excellent balance between the two, relatively easy to use, but still very powerful

I think Joomla needs a backend improvment to match with the standards of wordpress. Other than that, its great.

Oh yes. Joomla is far from being perfect. :D

Access Control Levels is another major task.

Joomla and Wordpress are the best as free CMS, they can easily be coded for any needs.
