    I am not all that familiar with gallery 1 or 2 but i am sure that someone has created a mod_rewrite for the urls, and as for the text and headings well that's up to you to optimize.

    what with working with phpbb scripts and other types of community scripts most of these are very customizable (mm if that's a word) and you should be ok if you know the basics of php.

    i using gallery2 but the google is't add my images gallery
    but i use gallery1 in another site & google add all images in gallery
    i active mod_rewrite in gallery1 & 2
    do you know why gallery1 better gallery2 ?
