Out of all CMS's that I have used, I have to say ez publish is the most powerful and the most flexible. However, it's not very easy to set up nor utilise for the first time users.

I use Joomla. I've tried others, but have to say I always return to Joomla. I find I'm just more comfortable with it.

LOL. No they are not, and I don't want to keep pushing, but I still love the features of DotNetNuke. Again, I've tried the admin features available at OpenCMS, fun site by the way, but it's hard to understand why everything has to be so back-end instead of WYSIWYG.

DNN is all WYSIWYG. If you can use WORD, or OpenOffice, you can use DNN.

For my bigger sites I use eZpublish (have done for years since version 2.2) and have found it great - but it does take a while to wrap your head around it.

For simpler sites and clients I do websdesign for I use Etomite

For portals though, I would agree with the consensus and vote for Joomla.

I've used phpwebsite and don't recommend it.

I've tried Wordpress as a CMS for small sites, but don't like the way it handles urls.

I've started using pmwiki ( http://www.pmwiki.org/ ) for small sites. It's quick to set up. Allows multiple sites to be installed from one codebase and doesn't require an sql database, which is overkill for small sites.

DotNetNuke for me lots of modules and I find skinning flexible. I am also starting to use Joomla and Wordpress as alternatives.

Don't think I saw Mambo above. Has everyone migrated to Joomla?

Thanks for the MODX recommendation -- I looked at this CMS a few months ago and forgot about it -- but it seems to have made lots of progress in just a few months.

I'm going to download it and add it to my review of the best open source CMSs article I'm writing -- :)

    Thanks again
