Which Photo Gallery Script Do You Recommend?

This is strictly for personal use.

I have a lot of photos of my son to share with extended family.

I was using Gallery and loved it. Could easily upload and it would automatically resize photos.

But ever since a recent upgrade it hasn't been working correctly. They have all these patches etc. which is just annoying. The whole point of a photo program (in my opinion) is to make it easy for me!

So I'm asking what other options people recommend.

I'm not computer illiterate but prefer something easy to set up and maintain.

Fantastico offers Coppermine Photo Gallery and 4Images Gallery.

Does anyone use either of these currently?

 

Use zenphoto or plogger

Both are nice ones I have used them before

I just wrote a web application for generating thumbnail gallery and mixing photos, mp3s and lyrics for presentation. it is provide as a free online service in my blog. freejtv

The simple slide version is an html/javascript template. If you're familiar with html/javascript, you can edit it manually. Otherwise, just select some photos, a mp3 and press a button. It will automatically generate thumbnails , gallery page and slide page.

Besides, i wrote an advanced slideshow which is a java applet with 24 photoshop effects and 10 collage effects and more than 30 transitions. It supports mp3 and lyric file. I design it for karaoke use. You can mix singer's photos ,background scene , mp3 and lyric easily.

I put 7 demos here. The album generated by user does not have any restriction in demo version.

You can upload the album/slideshow pages/images generated to any web space you like.

It can also be integrated with wordpress.

4images is the best Photo Gallery script that I ever use. I can recommend it

 

I also suggest 4images, really easy for me.
You can bulk upload photos to your ftp and it can find images from your ftp and auto add to database easily. Picturebus (on my signature) uses 4images.
