    Hi All,
    With so many open source CMS Scripts out there it's difficult to pick which one to install. I'm looking at setting up a simple CMS for my kids sports club (a 'love job'), and they need features such as, multiple users, upcoming events, calendar, photo gallery (all uploaded via browser), a news page and a simple registration payment system via Paypal. I was told by others that they all work well, but of course after trying a few out, I found that's not the case. Can anyone recommend a few that you've used and that has all these features included in the package.

    You can use social networking scripts like SocialEngine.. it's kind of a MySpace clone.

    If you want a flexible easy to learn and free CMS, go for Joomla. It has a lot of free and commercial extensions as well.

    Here are some JomSocial extensions for your site's need

    Community = Jomsocial (commercial), Community Builder (free)
    Events = EventList (free)
    Calendar = you can use eventlist module or use JCal (commercial)
    PhotoGallery = Joomgallery (free)
    Registration = Jomsocial and CB can do this

    I agree with Tearabite, Drupal can do all your need and very stable. imbee is kids social network based on Drupal.

    Wordpress MU with Buddypress could serve the purpose perfectly for your requirements.
    Else Joomla could be the right choice as well.

    I've been running several social networking websites in the past.
    I used mainly Social Engine, PHPFox and PHPizabi (which for the record is free).
    If you're not planning to earn bucks from this project, PHPizabi should fit your needs perfectly I think!

    You can Choose Joomla Many Plugins and component and modules available which will suite your needs. More joomla admin interface is good for the designers :)

    joomla and drupal have alot of extensions which might be easier for yourself to support... the other apps mentioned here are good but lack plugins created by a large community base
