Which teams do you support in which sports?

Following on from the 'what's your favourite pro sport?' thread I just wondered what domestic teams you follow? I'm especially interested in what domestic cricket teams our Indian friends follow as sadly I have no knowledge of the domestic game there.

    Anyway my teams are:

Football - Brighton and Hove Albion
    Cricket - Sussex
'American' football - Seattle Seahawks (with also a BIG soft spot for the Cleveland Browns, especially since they were mucked around by Art Modell)

Other sports I either don't have a favourite side (rugby) or I have no interest (baseball, basketball).

    Seahawks of course. :)
    And Mariners and Sonics.

But, this year I stopped watching most sports. Baseball suddenly became boring, mundane, long, and pointless. I keep tabs on the M's and I'll go to a game (I love being in the crowd).

And I too cheer for the Browns. I think many NFL fans do.

When I was last in Seattle (2001) I remember the Mariners were doing quite well and everybody seemed to be following their progress. Although I'm not a baseball fan I know what it's like to follow a team through thick and thin (or thin and thinner if you're a Brighton fan) and the feeling of excitement was palpable.

I remember one day I was in Green Lake Park and a guy with a hot dog stall was listening to a game on the radio. I asked "What's the score?" and he replied "Mariners are one up." He then followed it up with something TOTALLY incomprehensible but it sounded like "so-and-so slam-dunked a 40 yard bomb into the goal zone past the left field netminder."
I stared at him for a moment and then said "Great!" and put my thumb up. I hadn't a CLUE what he'd said but he was obviously pleased so I was pleased for him.

NFL: Raiders. The worst part is, I moved from LA to Portland several years ago, so it's been years since I last saw a game in person. I used to have season tickets, too...

NBA: Kings. Originally, this was because my family was all Lakers fans (growing up in LA), and I wanted to "rebel" by liking Sacramento. (There was no huge rival at the time.) Then J-Will came, and I actually started liking them. Too bad they're not too entertaining these days.

MLB: A's. Can't stand the Dodgers, and the Giants I only watch for Bonds, but the A's are easily the team from Cali I loved the most.

    NFL: Kings. LA, etc.

Here or anywhere outside of Canada evidently. :)

In my country (USA), the NHL is falling. It's even with competitive eating. The NHL used to be #4 (behind NFL, MLB and NBA), but it's just declining. Strikes don't help either.

I do think that expanding by putting a team in Vegas will give the NHL a short burst up, but it's not going anywhere.

Funny you should say that, I wasn't really aware of how big the college game was in the USA. I was in San Fransisco a couple of years ago visiting my brother-in-law. I knew his other brother-in-law was a big football fan and I wondered if he wanted to come with me to see the Raiders v Dolphins game. He said he didn't give too hoots about the NFL as the only team he was interested in was USC. He said tickets for their games were like goldust. Certainly not the case for Raiders tickets! I rang up and asked what time the game started and they said "Well, what time can you get here?"
