I have and need three computers side by side.

A dual PII350 on a MicroServer motherboard with generic video, no sound, running Linux on a gig of RAM.

A dual Athlon MP1800 on a Tyan Tiger MPX S2466 motherboard with four gigs of ram, generic video and no sound running Linux.

A dual Athlon MP2600 on a GigaByte GA-TDPXDW+ motherboard with generic video, built in sound, and 4 gigs of RAM, DVD writer, DVD reader, two RAIDed 120 gig hard drives, running WinXP Pro.

Backing this up I have reduandant internet access with both Cable and DSL.

I am not so much of a gamer as a programmer and web developer. During the day, I can nearly bring my dual to its knees, which is why next year I am upgrading to dual dual-core Opertons.

Jeez. Since Windows only supports partitions of up to 2 TB, think of how many drive letters you'd have to have for that. :)

Why did you pick the Dell LCDs over something else, like the Samsung or even Apple 23's? I'm in the market for a 21-24. The Apple 30 doesn't appear cost effective at the moment for the quality.

why does everyone always had the clock speeds together? it isnt really a reference to the speed is it? Mine runs at just shy of 5ghz if so, but it is just one processor with 2 cores, he has 2 x duel core g5 processors, think they both run at 2.5 ghz. Its a veyr nice computer but its not really a 10ghz computer

My desk got a new addition this weekend:

Acer 24" @ 1920 x 1200. I never would've thought to get an Acer monitor but it turns out they make pretty nice screens. It just came out so it has the brand new Samsung 6ms panel. I really got it for work, but it does play a mean game of Civ4. It was about $400 cheaper than the Apple 23" which has had some color balance issues reported. I need to get the old LCD mounted somewhere on an arm so I can swing it out of the way when I'm not working.

Oh yea and on the left you can see my Senns hooked up to a headphone amp built with tubes :D

I have a dell Dimension 9100 fully loaded with a 19' Inch Flat Panel Ultrasharp screen. (Don't know about all the jargon you guys are rambling about) I can't complain one bit.

It does the job, really well.
