who is a reseller?

I am now. Who else is? It makes sense to me. Anyone here making money doing it?

Not me, I have a dedicated server, but I used to be a reseller.

 

I just find reseller accounts very convenient for managing my own stuff.

 

I have reseller account too, but for my own sites!

 

After I got a few domains, I found becoming a reseller most cost effective. Now after getting a few more domains, it really has been.

Oh, no not making any money reselling accounts.

Been a reseller of hosting for a few years now.
Took some major hits over time as hosting companies went down, changed owners, all kinds of reasons to drop them.
The present company I am a reseller for has been the tops in all categories for hosting companies.
Yes, I make money, as I promote my service.
I am not high in costs, but am not dirt cheap like I see so many are.
Mainly because I promote myself, and that I do take care of my customers.

 

Being a reseller is good to resell to yourself, but the profit margins are too small IMO to make a business out of it.

 

I do good at it.
Hundreds, if not thousands, of other resellers do good at it.
The prices shown on my site, and most other reseller sites, is all mine when someone signs up for hosting.
The profit margins are good to very excellent.

 

I've been looking for a good company to become a reseller any suggestions? I been looking at a comapny called Fat Network, but nobody responded to my post asking if anyone every dealt with them.

My problems with most companies is that they exclude any download sites, forums and chats from being hosted.

Any comments or suggestions on a good one?

I've sold a few accounts but i don't really promote the site much. I could probably make a reasonable amount if i spent awhile promoting it.

 

The company i use are adequate but not great so i won't recommend them.

They do however allow any type of site, your paying for the bandwidth after all!

 

I am a host and provide resellers so i guess i am also a reseller indirectly.
