    noppid,

The sad thing is, you assumed I meant on TV... There are many venues to take in a game of hockey or lacrosse. I agree, more people should take part in the activities they watch as far as sports go...

Good point. By this point, who cares?

Talk about dumb... they were struggling with that expanded talent-diluted league before the strike... do they really think anyone is going to give a damn when or if they ever get their acts together and face the financial reality?

Around here, a ticket to a senator's game for you and a friend or your child will; set you back a couple of hundred dollars... add in a hot dog and a warm coke and it's three hundred... then they have the nerve to charge you for parking

    Minstrel,

My belief is that the 'new game' will be a cheaper more exciting brand of hockey. The powers that be have to realize that they are pricing their 'real fans' out of the game.

We'll see, but I will be a hockey fan for life, it just depends on which level I have to watch and play it at...

When my sons started playing hockey as little guys (like age 6, fall on your butt everytime you take a shot hockey), I realized again what can be fun about hockey -- and realized how far away from that the NHL has gone.

I really haven't bothered much about professional hockey in years. I don't watch a lot of sports anyway, on TV or off, but when I do it's baseball or NFL (not that sorry run-pass-punt version of football they call the CFL -- why isn't that league dead yet? ).

Well... Best team lost again. PSV lost. Chelsea lost. Now Man U. I hope this trend continues for at least another week coz then at least Liverpool will beat AC.

And guess what. I nearly got kicked out of the pub I watched the match in. 'What for?' I hear you ask... For only drinking one coke. The owner threatened me to order again or piss off. Great attitude! So I bought one packet of crisps for 50p... Asshole!

I was actually quite impressed with the quality of the performances this year. Most of them could sing properly. :)

Having all 39 countries voting was a little inappropriate I thought though. I was starting to lose the will to live at around 30!

    My favourite was Switzerland ;)

Stephen, actually your right, the performances were MUCH better, but I think the UK effort was poor.. I think Javine is a great singer, but the song choice was poor..
