Well, Photoshop CS4 Beta is currently available and I was wondering how many of you would go for the final release..

:( I did not find CS3 very brilliant.. so

My guess is they just threw a couple of little bells and whistles on CS3 and are calling it CS4.

I’m not going out of my way to get it.

The RAW editing has been growing fast but I don’t work much with RAW so I doubt that CS4 has much new to offer me.

I’m still in CS2 I only upgrade every 4 years or so, its usually just not worth it.. All you usually get is a couple of cheesy add ons that I probably won’t use.

i have the cs4 beta and its very good =] i use mac and they now have one easy window with interigated controlls. Theres a lot of work to go with it but already its much faster and easier to use, i could live with the cs4 beta

I like using PS CS3 and will not be interested in CS4 unless the new features are worth the upgrade and whatever learning curve is necessary to make good use of them.

I'm sticking with CS3 for now. I usually skip every release, so I'll upgrade with CS5 is released. But I just hate how every new version is slower than the previous one...I imagine I'll need a new Mac before CS5 is released.

wasn't Cs4 primarily redeveloped for Mac Users anyways? Not being a Mac user, My Cs3 is ideal for me :)

I'm still using CS2 and no plan to upgrade to CS3 or CS4 in near future because I still can use it for all my graphic works. Photoshop is only tool, the most important is the design skill and he/she knows how to use it for graphic works, not what version to make the graphic works.

I would only upgrade if there are any major differences. CS3 is still very good and perfect for the work I do at home and at work. I would never use any other program for designing because personally I don't think anything could be as good as Photoshop.

after the total let-downs that were CS and CS2, i was really tentative of even touching CS3 (i'd gone back to using PS7 in the mean-time), but CS3 was really a breath of fresh air. the interface really is innovative and the entire package was significantly and noticeably faster. i hope they keep it up for CS4.. but really, i'm satisfied and don't really see any need to update. for most of the web design and interface work that i do, i use adobe fireworks anyway.
