Why "Ads by Google" is not displayed in some Adsense Publisher websites?

To tell the truth, I was not paying much attention to adsense before, but I've found something recently while visiting CNet, why "Ads by google" is not displayed?
If we all publishers could remove this, am sure we would get more clicks i.e more money!
Why can't we remove this "ads by google" ???

It's not such a bad thing. It kind of gives credibility to your ads.
