    Why do birds
    Suddenly appear?
    Everytime you are near
    Just like me
    They long to be
    Close to you

I see something blossoming here :D

Agreed! I mean, do they like anyone over there except each others? Doesn't seem like it.

Spain is probably the nicest country to visit in Europe (no offense all others). I have also been to Malta (former British Colony and Island in the Mediterranean Sea). Funny how in the south of Europe people kick more ass.

Germany must be the weirdest nation on earth. Netherlands rock though. But I was a kid when I went there and my mom wouldn't let me go into the bars :D

Spain (Marbella) is nice, but I can't be there more than couple of months in a year. it is just too slow for me.
I think Germans are nice but most English speaking people some how think of them as cold people, which is not true.
If you want wierd people, you should visit Sweden, you can drive people crazy by smiling and saying hi to them. I had a neighber that I didn't like and almost gave him a nervous break down by saying Good morning everyday to him.

I think Turkey's the nicest country to visit in Europe (well, it's half in Europe)
I would recommend it to anyone. You have never, ever, ever, ever, ever met such nice, warm, welcoming, charming, sweet people as the Turkish. Like, to the point where you would be completely shocked and gobsmacked at the level of hospitality. And you would go back to Turkey JUST for the Turkish people. That's how nice they are. Best place ever!

I used to Love Spain. I went there every year for 10 years. It's changed so much though. In the tourism area's, the constant flocking of drunken holiday makers has made the Spanish a little bit rude, and hard faced. They have no real patience left with tourists after they've invaided heir country for the last god knows how many years. Just hope the same doesn't happen to Turkey.

The Netherlands is cool. The Dutch are so nice, and laid back. And always make the effort to speak English and make things ''Gezellig'' (A very overused Dutch word without any real English translation, but i'd say ''cosy'') But they do come with a shock factor of directness..

    Semi strangers in the street...
''Hey LONG time, no speak. How have you been?''
''Oh fine. I've just been to the dentist Oh and had the roughest kinkiest bondage sex ever''
    ''cool.''

I can see that having happened with Spain, when I was there we had so many parties and it seemed the locals got annoyed with us a lot. They're not used to the crazy ways of mtv Spring break style hooplahs.

I wished that people wouldn't mistake being loud with being disrespectful though. Noone meant any harm, just a bunch of us being on vacation and letting lose :D

It is nice to let folks know when there is a problem, I once went on a sales call and had a cut from shaving on my neck, this buyer at Goodyear did not say a word to me about the blood on my White Shirt and let me sit through the entire sales call (an hour or so) and never said a word. It was not just a drop or two of blood on that white shirt, but about 8 inches or so of a blot

Well when I looked in the mirror after the sales call I thought about what an ass I was and what an ass he was for not saying anything to me.

The moral of the story is always look in the mirror before presenting yourself, not after, because some folks will not tell you that there is mud on your forehead lest they hurt your feelings.

As a whole, the french don't seem to like each other... my wife's aunt is french (though she breaks the mould) and is of the opinion that the french simply do not want, or like, neighbours. Neighbours are simply someone to complain and bitch about !!

Exactly the impression I get. It's not just Americans they have a problem with, British, German (even though understandable) and whoever else alike. I think they just have this arrogance and it bothers me. Maybe we should just ignore them.

Have you forgotten Herman's Hermits? Herman's real name was Peter Noone.

A recent Clint Eastwood flick had a character with that surname, too, which turned out to be a pivotal piece of information
