Smoking is hard to quit because the Tobacco companies designed cigarettes that way. If they can't get people addicted, they can't make billions of dollars.

Here is the crazy thing that shows you something is wrong with our society: While cigarettes eventually kill you, they are perfectly legal. Marijuana does not kill you, yet it is illegal?

    Go figure that one out.

That one is already figured out... The hemp plant can be used for too many things so they outlawed it and the flower goes with the law. Believe me, the cannabis flower is not illegal because you government cares about your heath!

Read this, while its one of them darn conspricy type sites, its really informative - http://www.illuminati-news.com/marijuana-conspiracy.htm

I had stopped smoking for quite along time.

Had a date with a cute girl this weekend, she is a smoker, so we ended up smoking one pack each

Weed isn't safe, duh..... but I would love to see hemp fuel, hemp clothes, etc, etc, etc.... Hemp is fine, but why legalize marijuana??

Anyways, I am all for the quitters in this case. You are actually not quiting, you are beginning a life smoke free!!!! I used to smoke 1 to 1-1/2 packs a day and boy I am glad I quit about 14 years ago (with falling off the horse for a month about 10 years ago, that was stupid.)

I know what you mean. I swear, if my girlfriend quit smoking and demanded the same from me, it would be easier to do so.

I stopped smoking when my Wifey went from working to working fulltime on her college education. No crying, no whinning, just I understood I couldn't afford a 4 pack/day(or even 1 cig/day habit). I stopped. Tried the patch, got sick, so went cold-turkey.

Now when I can afford to start smoking again, I still have my last pack of smokes in the car(I smoked most when driving) so I can start right where I stopped.

Just do it, or just don't do it, don't whine about the monkey keeping you down, spank'em. ;)

Maybe you could give electronic cigarettes a try. They seem to have worked remarkably well for a few friends of mine.

Ever wonder what causes hunger, thirst, sleepiness? It's the brain sending a signal to your body that it needs to take care of these needs. So then you eat, drink, sleep.Nicotine stimulates the areas of the brain that send these types of signals. So your brain tells your body it needs to smoke. It will keep telling you this for at least 3 weeks after you quit smoking. The trick is too recognize this and don't give in to it as it is a false signal.Be strong and you will win and become a non smoker.
