Why my alexa rank going down if I got more vistor than before???

urmm this is a bit confusing I used to have 162,524 as my alexa and my 1000 vistor daily and when I finally got my site at 1500 vistor a day, it go down hill in 194,154......anyone got any idea????and I do not use fake traffic or any of though stuff BTW.

 

Well, if your traffic increase 500, but other is increase 1000, then your rank will drop.
By the way, alexa ranking is not accurate since they only care on those alexa toolbar visitor

 

Alexa compares sites to other sites and assigns ranking based on that. If your site increased but still fell in rankings chances are some other sites may have increased more.

 

Alexa is garbage, it's best to not even bother looking at your score. It all depends on how many of your visitors use their toolbar.

I have the same problem, I have started my web site three months before, it was going up the first two months but after that, it gets worse day after day almost my visitor has doubled, why? I lost 3 ads because that, every time I discuss with client he was satisfied, I write to him, and in the end day instead of getting replay I got in my web site statistic two or three visitors from Alexa, that really become boring
I installed Alexa toolbar and plugin widget, no thing changed, my ranking going down day after day any idea???

 

Well, I find it normal. I suggest to try improving your real traffic and not alexa traffic rank.

 

Your old visitors probably more tech savvy and had the toolbar installed while the new one dont. This is good cos they are usually less afraid to click your ads (if you have any)

Did redirection affect number of viewed pages?

I know alexa doesn’t important and I am sure I am going up, but the advertisers like it very well
