OK, among all threads regarding PayPal alternatives this one really does deserve a reply.

Let me just say this. PayPal sucks big time for one single reason and that is the fact that simply *too many* people can't use it while it is so ubiqutous that it hurts them. To translate that for you, their popularity is felt as a true painful discrimination by thousands, if not millions in countries which aren't supported by it. And yes, that IS a very unfair situation, so unfair in my opinion that I would actually call for legal means of resolving it. It is essentially a monopoly with geographical discrimination.

But the only ways to resolve the situation is for either:

    - PayPal starts supporting virtually all countries
    - PayPal be replaced by someone else as a dominant option (and in this case the best candidate really is moneybookers).

Hence this thread has a very good and awesomly important purpose.

Frankly, I can't begin to express how angered I am when I can't receive a payment just because someone doesn't want to use anything but PayPal, either because it's too hard for them to go through the initial setup process (although it really is not so hard for alot of people) or they just think they're not losing anything by sticking with PayPal hence riding their high wheels over our lost opportunities. :(

I am not mad with anyone specifically though, but the situation created here, in big part, PayPal itself.

Damn it people, there's more to internet business than your precious 55 countries supported by PayPal!!!
