    It only helps if your article and link are approved. And that is not going to happen unless your a doctor, engineer,,,, professional in the field about the article.

    Wikipedia does not publish original content. So your going to need to be published on some other authority site before your content will be accepted.

    I placed a link to one of my sites in the external links section of a page and was getting 10 clicks a day till it was deleted.

    The moderators on there kept deleting my link. I thought it was relevant enough. I've seen worse links get past them. Going to try another run at Wikipedia since the traffic that I can get from there is rather good.
