Will Changing Hosts Help With My Previously Banned Site?

Discussion in 'Placement / Reviews / Examples' started by Mktgpro, Dec 13, 2007.

    Hello,

I made a foolish mistake and listened to some "gurus" about my site, causing it to be banned by google 1 year ago. Google has refused to index my pages on this site.

However, this site has very good content. It is ranked well in yahoo or msn but not google.

Will changing host help? Also, what are my options? I am reluctant to abandon my domain name due to the good rankings in yahoo, but yet want to ask if there is anyone who can give me good suggestions.

    Thanks in advance,
    Eve

Yea, you need a new host (ip address) AND a new domain name. Google is pretty slick on picking stuff up, so you need to totally relocate. Using a 301 is a good idea. I might use two of them, bounced off a intermediate site so adsense doesn't see a bulk of you traffic coming from the site it banned.

    Won't do a thing - do a 301 redirect with a new domain!
