    what with google local, maps, search, tools, froogle scholar etc....will google own the internet ? (or do they already?) I was just reading something about 'google base' which says you can advertise your car for sale ????? or something along those lines... one day they will de-list every website..and there will only be google !!

    Once they put all books, videos and databases online, they could become quite a thread to content providers.

    I think they will, unless there will be another google. Well some time before people thought yahoo will rule the internet..

    They will have to stick with their search engines.
    Since they try to lay hands on everything, the search has been neglected and will be avoided by more and more searchers.

    Maybe not own the internet but will definately be the major force, just as Microsoft (as long as they aren't greedy like the Enron's folks).
