Will the social bookmarking buttons, which are placed on each blog post, negatively affect the search engine ranking result(say pr),thinking that they are external links from the site?..

suppose,i have put buttons for digg,yahoo,stumbleupon,google-buzz,tweetme,delicious ....will it treat as 6 external links per post?...
Please help me out with clear answer...

    Thanks

normally such social bookmarking buttons are javascript and thus NOT considered links

    hi Jakesjohn.
you can always add "no follow" "no index" to any links or parts of your page and i recommend you to do so! if your blog is wordpress, just go for plugins that can do that automaticaly for you.

No they don't. I would think they will actually help get traffic to your site via other sources though!
