Windows 7 also have an Inbuilt Windows XP mode so that XP users will love and could even shift from XP to Windows 7 mate...

A reasonably priced or even free upgrade from my expensive Vista Ultimate would be awesome ... I'm currently looking at $275 ... any information you can supply on possible free or inexpensive ultimate keys would be appreciated.

Hmmmm....Both are better than Vista but for me its very difficult to make a decision between these 2....am using XP since long time and i just love it but at the same time win 7 has also lived up to the expectations..so am a bit confused

Use Win7, I recommend you because my old laptop with Win7 is faster than my new laptop with Vista :)

Been with XP since it came out. Have tried Linux, Vista and Windows 7 and still won't change. XP has to be the best MS OS ever made in my opinion.

I have been using windoes XP for over 4 years. Then I shifted to it and have been using it for close to one year. I am also running UBUNTU on my laptop. Apart from Linux, I would say XP is the best. No idea about Windows 7.

Xp is a decent OS, though with my hardware Windows7 shines harder than XP ever did. If you are based on oLD HARDWARE Windows XP is perfect for you. If you are unable to do simple OS tweaking - Get A Mac.

XP is everything you'll ever need...the rest is nothing but redundancy.

I guess you are too young to remember DOS... Wow, I remember being excited about the release of DOS 5.0!

    Hi There

Create a virtual machine (VM) of Windows 7 and test. Nothing like trying the OS for yourself rather hearsay!

I upgrade from vista to win7, but have some hardware problem. My suggestion, before upgrade to win7, better if you wait win7 mature.

For older PCs and laptops WinXP is still the best choice.
For cutting edge technology my choice is Windows 7 though.
