I'll stay with Windows XP for years to come. Don't have plans to upgrade to Windows 7.

I have not had to desire to switch from using XP to Vista, though 7 appears to be better...at least from what I get to hear about it.

I would wait for more favorable comments from my learned friends about it, after the retail version is out...before jumping on the same! :)

I've recently download the beta test of Windows 7 and all I can say is when Windows 7 come hitting in on store shelves I'll definitely upgrade to. All of my drivers and softwares works perfectly fine. :) It's time to replace my old and aging Windows XP

Honestly I have not tried the New OS of MS... the Widows Xp
but I have heard a lot of users saying that Windows 7 is the somewhat like a combination of
    Windows XP and Windows Vista...

When I have to use Windoze, I use an nlited version of XP that has all the crap I don't need stripped out of it...nlite is pretty neat...you can not only slipstream SP3 in , but hotfixes and your own drivers as well...

    http://www.nliteos.com/

I think there's one called vLite for Vista and partially works on 7.

In fron of me every Window has it's own features that any other windows does not have.
It depends on your PC that it is supporting XP or 7.
Windows XP is really near to me because XP gave me the plate form to do, what i want.
Windows 7 is highly graphically made windows which makes my computer slow down to use properly.
So i prefer XP for those whose system is not supporting Windows 7.

Sooner or later you will have to switch to the newest Microsoft os version if not, you will be out of date.

I personally prefer windows xp as the function is less sophisticated, more stable, more familiar with and easier to navigate but time wouldn't allow me to stay on as other progress forward I wouldn't want to stay stagnant.

This is the reason we all have to keep on learning.

i changed to Windows 7 two months ago, and i have to say it is as fast as XP on my two machines. I am an old fashion Computer user, and look forward to the chrome os but don't wanna use only online stuff. I love to have my data and programs where i want it, and i will do with what i want on the moment i want.

SO 7 is perfect for me.

When I get my next PC (soon), I'm going to dual boot Kubuntu and a modified XP (crap removed with nLite). Unfortunately, Microsoft are forcing us all to switch, so I'll install 7 eventually.. or maybe Windows 8 if it's out by then :p

I'm definitely getting Windows 7 when it releases. I find that it actually uses a bit less memory than XP plus all the new stuff they packed into W7 helps it to play games and do stuff SO MUCH FASTER! Plus the extra security that comes with a new OS is definitely worth the switch. Sure I expect XP to be faster at some things just as I expect windows 98 to be faster than XP in that same respect when it comes to other things to.
