    What an idiot. I'll green you when I'm allowed to again as long as the subject of rep doesnt continue here. lol

    Well I've installed everything on the laptop again. I only have 2 little yellow questions marks now which is the SM controller and the USB controller and I even got my mouse scrolling again but I should have the enclosure case tomorrow so hopefully I'll be able to copy a load of the system files over.

    Any idea whats the best way to transfer the likes of the USB controller etc to the new hard drive? I may not have long with the old hard drive :confused:

    Not to worry, I shouldn't have posted that. I just saw red, so to speak :)

    Frayed knot, sorry mate. I've still got a few things missing from when I reinstalled my laptop with an OEM copy of windows. I've lost the TV out from the graphics card, which is sorely missed in hotel rooms when I want to watch a DVD :)

    I've got a TV out on the laptop but I've never used it lol. Is it expensive to buy the TV out lead?

    About a fiver in Tesco. :)

    I saw it randomly when shopping for an ink cartridge there and couldn't resist it! Mine's a standard svhs out I think.
