Wordpress admin page is redirecting to old site

    Hi All

    I have just transferred my wordpress site to a new domain name but when I am type in the login address: www.newsite.com/wp-admin (not really the address) it redirect to www.oldsite.com/wp-admin login page.

    Does anyone know how I can fix this.

    Log in cpanel >> PhpMyadmin >> Select WordPress database >> click wp_options tables >> edit siteurl

    On siteurl edit page change oldsite.com to newsite.com
    Done!!

    Thanks mate.

    I have taken those steps but the siteurl is newsite.com already.

    When I go to the website it stays on newsite.com but only when I go to the login page it redirects to the oldsite.com/wp-admin

    Wierd....any other ideas?

    Download your database, open it in a text editor and use a tool called 'Search and Replace'.

    Hmm still no good.

    Freaking wierd. Everything is normal except the login page which decides to redirect.
