Wordpress and XML feeds

I know that you can create feeds auto from WP for each category, but I want to create XML feeds to use elsewhere. I cannot find a way to do this with or without a plugin. Is it possible?

Hi JImmy, You mean you need XML feed for the posts from specific category right?

How is this

http://www.example.com/?cat=42&feed=rss2
or
http://example.com/category/categoryname/feed

In first one cat = 42 (42 is the specific category ID)

Yes, that's what I've used already, but as I am using them with IPB, it gives me this error:

[#10CCS91.rss] The feed could not be imported. This can happen if the URL to the feed is invalid, if the feed is not generated properly, or if you try to import an ATOM feed (only RSS feeds are supported). Please hit back and verify the feed URL.

 

Oh okay... let me know which WordPress version that you are using?

I tried it by copy and past the feed url into the browser and it worked.. But don't know about using it in IPB my friend.. Sorry .. :-(
