Wordpress is forcing to www

I installed wordpress on one of my domains, the thing is I just saw that if i write:
website.com it gets me to www.website.com

This is the first time wordpress is forcing the url to the www version and I don`t remember to do something else than the basic install.

    Any reasons for this?

Well, wordpress is not forcing that.. its just telling to use WWW.

Well, Instead of that you can make your htaccess force to load without WWW. :) Google it and you will be done :)

    Thanks :)

Go to: /wp-admin/options-general.php and look at the WordPress address (URL) field. If it has the www in it, then it will automatically go to that version and vice versa.

its not wordpress. its your host. Do you have your own paid hosting? or are you using the Wordpress.com blogs? If you have your own hosting, then you can actually change it to accept either with www, without www, or both. If you are using the wordpress.com blogs, then dont worry bout it. Typically even though you type in website.com, usually the browser itself adds in the WWW to say that its on the web and not the localhost (meaning your computer).

    hope this helps.

It is the same just you need to tweak it yourself in your blog to make it good.
