Wordpress Permalink Problems

    Well I have installed wordpress from softaculuos (cpanel). I am using the wp version 2.9.2
    I was getting problem with permalink structure. Hence I set it to default (ugly structure) but it is not functioning well. e.g. archive page & categories pages are not showing.

    I tried all with Htacess file, disabling the plugins but didnt get success.

    Any Help Appreciate ! I am using Arthemia theme

    It's probably the theme and not permalinks.

    Yes It was because of theme Now I am using .htaccess file

    It will help the permanent link structure.

    What do you mean? I am myself never having this permalinks problems, but one of my blog's commenter had this problem, she couldn't change the permalinks, because the .htaccess didn't exist.
