Wordpress theme line error

    I just installed a theme on my wordpress blog and it says this on the bottom.
    I tried reinstalling it again and it still shows the same.

    Parse error: syntax error, unexpected '.' in /home/dropship/public_html/StockJoe.com/wp-content/themes/gandhi/footer.php(1) : eval()'d code on line 6

    Anyone knows what it is and how to fix it?

    I'm a complete noob when it comes to coding, any help would be appreciated.

    Looks like you've edited the footer.php file and added a piece of code or character that is not going to fly.
    It tells you right there what you did:
    You have a "." where it shouldn't be.
