    Between Blogger and Wordpress... (Wordpress.com) I would probably choose Wordpress. But Wordpress is also open source and could be downloaded from Wordpress.org and upload it to your host, and this will allow you to create your own theme and customize it how ever you want it and make it look more professional, it's much more powerful in my opinion.

    I have few sites hosted on blogger. The things I like most about blogger platform is that they offer free hosting at Google and it is working really fast. The bad thing about the blogger is lack of customization and less templates to chose from.

    Wordpress is good for customization, more functionality but for not experienced users it would be more difficult to start with

    I use Wordpress all the way tried Blogger because I wanted to see which one was better and I got to say Wordpress won that fight

    Wordpress is the cleanest, most professional and easily customisable blog platform there is today and i would strongly advise buying a domain name and using Wordpress. The amount of stuff you can do with it is amazing,and it is fast replacing traditional website development needs so that is another due consideration you must have.

    Bottom line

    Wordpress : PR 9
    Blogger : PR 8

    Wordpress is the right one, for anything longterm, Blogger is also good, but a few minor things at times....
    My opinion/experience Go with Wordpress
