Well, there were times that I wished I had a translator when the baby was a baby and I didn't have a clue.....

And, re: dog barking translation - if I remember correctly, someone in Japan did create something like this a year or so ago. I saw it on cnn.

Though there is something to it, but I don't think a machine can make a distinction or categorize the different sounds/styles/volume the correct way :D

actually I agree with you. I have 4 kids with the oldest getting ready to turn 18 and the youngest 4 and I can say that I wish I would have had something that would have come close.

I also saw a similar item on tv about this. They used the most common issues and the different crys to determine what was going on. It is proven that the way a baby cries lets you actually know what is wrong. I will try it someday when I have grandkids which may not be that long.

The quote is the funniest thing:

" All mothers, when leaving hospital, should have such a device. "

Yeah I mean, how the hell did we survive millions of years without it?

If you don't know what your baby is trying to say when its crying - perhaps you should spend more time with it. Most parents I know can tell what their baby wants by the tone or way the baby cries.

I actually think there is something that analyzes a dog barking. Now I know what to tell my dog to stop doing before I whap it with a shoe :p (stop barking at that imaginary noise in your head. *whap* stop barking at the lawn guy outside *whap* stop barking cuz you dreamed a cat attacked you *whap*)

Honesty,i agree pile of BS. If you keep your baby's diaper change, feed it on time and let it nap during the day, better yet, plan a daily schedule for baby/like i do for my dogs/they always know what comes next and that way their is no confusion on anybody mind what is to come...:)

That is, if the baby sleeps. Mine did not sleep at all during the day - he just rocked and rolled all day....I used to laugh at people who said "sleep when the baby sleeps" - which is fine if the baby happened to sleep.

Yes, so true! Not all babies are the same, quess i should of use most babies..even then you wouldn't need the crybaby because the baby is just fussy at the time--aren't babies in-title to get fussy, right?
