Would you have 2 Campaigns : Advanced vs Standard?

I'm wondering if people think it would be worth while having copying my current Ad Groups which are all set to 'Advanced' type, to a separate Campaign where they are all set as 'Standard' type and seeing if I notice any difference in clicks and conversions?

I'm guessing people generally just read this forum without actually participating in it? :-(

I know some who do this.

What you basically do is you use the Standard to get your targeted audience. By putting it in it's own campaign you can focus more money to the targeted audience by setting a higher daily budget. You can then use a smaller daily budget on your Advanced match which becomes more of a catch-all for anything that wasn't covered in the Standard campaign.

You can basically do the same thing over on Google AdWords as well.

Won't these 2 campaigns alternate though? They won't be both shown at the same time will they?

Normally your Standard campaign will trump your Advanced because it's an exact match, and thus more targeted. So your Advanced match campaign budget would last a little longer because your Standard match campaign would be getting the views.

The Advanced match campaign would only be there to catch what you didn't drop in the Standard match campaign or to cover you when the Standard budget ran dry for the day.

Would you have the exact same ads or make them different?

It wouldn't totally matter, but it might be a good idea to try different ads, because it gives you a chance to also test different messages.

The other thing to remember is since the Advanced match campaign is showing to a wider audience it might be more of a benefit to have more general ads there while having more targeted ads in the Standard match campaign since you are targeting the specific keywords.
