    Hi Everyone,

I wanted to know dper's opinion on what would you use if you ever had any health issues? Herbal medicines or allopathic medicine? Which one you think is the best for your health.

I myself prefer Herbal Medicine because it does not have any side effects and more important i can make it myself just i have to get the herbs which is easily available in our city.

    My Story:

Recently i was having sinus problem and i went to a doctor it was winter time. After seeing my condition he said that i will have to use Otrivin Nasal Liquid. At first if i put two drops in my nose it would open but after some days even a complete one bottle would not effect my nose.

Later again i went to another doctor and he said that be aware dont use otrivin its dangerous for health and you may get brain damages! i was shocked and scared.

Later now i went to a herbal specialist and he suggested me herbs now that i am fit and fine no more cold and sinus issues.

Just recently i decided to start a Free Herbal Question and answer website Where anyone can ask Question and some herbal experts will answer your question or may prescribe you some good herbal medicine.

My Aim at the point of starting this topic was not share the website but i think this may help someone.

Give me mainstream (ie allopathic) medicine any day of the week but I prefer to prevent rather than treat.

I would be incredibly careful about being involved with a product that claims to cure diabetes. You'd do well to link to some sort of proof - like a clinical trial or 3. With diet you can get better control of type 1 and you can eliminate the symptoms of type 2 but neither are ever "cured". If it did then you'd have the world beating a path to your door.
I seriously doubt the magic pill will cure obesity either although I did notice that further down the page you tempered your statements with words like "helps", "promotes" and "controls" rather than cures.

Yes you are right there is no medicine which can cure diabetes but controls and prevent it. The company has recently get some results from patients who were having 320-400 mg/dL sugar levels are now having normal around 70-100 mg/dL. Its not just the medicine but they will have to keep a regular diet.

And I added that title because i thought it may get some traffic and no other reason.

I always prefer with herbal medicine. Aside from there is no side effects, it is cheap and convenient to everyone.

I guess my question is why does it have to be either/or? I use a doctor's prescription (allopathic) to control my high blood pressure. However, I use Glucosamine/Chondroitin (herbal) for an osteo-arthritic hip that would have otherwise had to have been replaced 20 years ago. I also use garlic pills to free up my otherwise crippled fingers from psoriasis-induced arthritis. Would not give up any of these three pills as they all work wonders for me.

I am older than dirt and what I have found over the decades is that all medicine, allopathic, herbal, naturopathic, etc., etc., is more art than science and only careful experimentation will help you to find what works for you. For example, while the Glucosamine and Garlic pills have had MIRACULOUS results for me, they are completely useless in treating my wife's arthritic ankle and elbow. And I do not know any other psoriasis sufferer who has been helped by garlic pills (though it was a medical doctor treating me for psoriasis who recommended them at the time) despite my promoting it for decades to friends and family.

The phrase Your Mileage May Vary (YMMV) could never be more true than when you are trying to solve a health problem, so be open to options (but do be careful, of course, as all types of treatments can have horrible side effects.)

Well Any medicine which you will have to take for long is useless as they will get you in trouble in long run (side effects) My father is a herbalist by profession and the patients who come to our fathers place he makes sure that they do not have to spend any other money after they get well.

Any medicines if you say herbal/allopathic or any other if you have to take it as a routine how can they treat your pain?

Do you agree that if you have a stone in kidney and you take some pills as a pain relief will it be the solution or getting rid of the stone in your kidney?

In urdu language there are thousands of books also we have prophetic medicines which can cure most of the diseases rather than relief for quite some time.

I wish i could get all these books translated into english and other languages so people really get benefited nor be a art of it and pay daily/weekly/monthly.

I'd go with herbal treatment. When it's really necessary then I go to the doctor and use the prescription. I like drinking tea and other herbals. Whatever herbals. I hate pills and those chemical sh*t.

Generally I go with allopathic medicine since it has scientific backing but I am open to the notion of alternative theories of medicine.

I always go for herbal treatment. It takes a little long time but its treatment is last longer and most important thing is that herbals don't give any side effects to the body.
