Wrong Ads showing on my site

Discussion in 'Placement / Reviews / Examples' started by ki3000, Apr 18, 2008.

Hello everyone. I was wondering if someone can please explain why wrong ads are appearing on my site (search). It was working fine until like the last 2 days, it has been acting weird. I have a search engine, and when i type in a certain keyword, it brings up ads such as gospel, jesus, 13th Apostle, lost gospel, etc. Which has absolutely nothing to do with my site, or the key terms I search. If you wanna see a sample, please visit my search. if u don't see it, this, you might see something about eye care as well. but if neither of these shows up, then try another keyword. i think the at least the second time it will come up.

    Thanks a whole lot.
    K.I.

Sorry, since i didn't get any response from here, i decided to take them off. I didn't want people to see those ads. Totally off of what my site is about.

Did you try section targeting that can increase the relevancy of the ads displayed?

I read through the article, and I added the section tag in my html page. i am still getting the same problem however. but i noticed you said it might take a couple of weeks. another concern i have is that, my site is just a search, so i am wondering how this is going to work out, since i want the ads to be targeted based on the keywords searched, not on a particular keyword (s) that i want.

then how can i fix it where it reads the information on my website correctly. i mean, there's absolutely no single word that has to do with the church, or apostles, etc.

no ads today, my friend...Your sponsored results are totally empty and so we cannot help you if this is the case. but the suggestion with the section targeting is I think good enough but you have to wait for the results to come up so you have to patient as well.

also i find it funny how you bought a search engine script that has no real algorithm behind it beside searching the major search engine...and you're calling the best search engine there is....

well i have to call it that. otherwise, if i don't believe it in, then how do i expect others to come to it? i mean it searches just about everything.

As to the other two: Jackson, and master_06, i have taken the ads off for now. will put them back on later, hopefully. thanks by the way.

Someone please analyze this for me, if you have some experience. i don't know what's going on and it's getting me frustrated. i even went a head and put those ads that are showing in the competitive ad filter. i am not sure how many, 10, 11, 15 maybe. but more other ones just like it are showing up. does make any sense whats' ever. i mean, it's showing fine on my other sites, ie. forums.
    thanks

I've put the ads back on. I hope you can check it out, and see, may be somethings i am doing wrong. it's showing perfectly fine on other places (subdomains), ie. forums, directory, just not on the search results. the weird thing though, is that it was showing fine, until recently.

thanks ezcat for checking it out. yes, i have noticed now, that the ads shows the first time. i.e. if you search for the first time, the ads shows correctly. but then say, you search, and you stop at the results page, and you make a new search, the ads just shows are completely off.
