Yahoo Email authentication failed

    Hi,

    I'm using 2 Rocketmail/Yahoo POP accounts by an Arch Linux desktop machine with 2 MUAs, Claws and Evolution. Due to Yahoo "hiccups" every now and then I need to delete and create new app passwords.
    At the moment both MUAs are able to retrieve mails from both Rocketmail/Yahoo accounts. Evolution can send mails by both accounts and Claws is able to successfully send using one account, but the other account always returns

    ** error occurred on authentication
    *** Authentication failed:
    535 5.7.0 (#AUTH005) Too many bad auth attempts.

    I've generated several times a new app password and waited for 24 hours, to no avail.

    Any hints are welcome.

    Disable two-step verification for your Yahoo account. If you want to retain two-step verification in Yahoo, you have to generate and enter an application-specific password while authenticating mailing details.

    First and foremost, it's important to ensure that all of your settings are correct. Check that your username and password are typed in correctly and make sure the "remember me" option is set to 'on'.
    Next, check if the problem persists on a different device or browser—this will help you determine whether or not the issue is with the account itself. Additionally, try signing out of all current sessions; sometimes when multiple users have logged into one account at once this can cause authentication issues as well.
    Finally, take a look at any recent changes made in your settings over the past few months—it may be that something changed without your knowledge which caused authentication errors down the road.
    It is recommended to use the Morelogin virtual browser, which can help you avoid the risk of being tracked. And it has a stable and anonymous proxy environment-IP address, which can effectively create multiple accounts and guarantee that it will not be banned.
