I've switched to Gmail three years ago because I realized that some of the incoming emails that are VERY important to me that I was supposed to be getting from my Yahoo Mail were missing/didn't arrive at all.

    Gmail...
    because when you join up
    with certain programs
    they do not allow Yahoo

Over the past few months, I have found Yahoomail extremely annoying. 1 of my email shows as "Account Compromised" and I was not even allowed to reset password. Only option available was to email Yahoo technical team which is highly frustrating experience.

Yes its the fact that Yahoo mail is way behind Gmail. Yahoo not only should improve their main portal website yahoo.com but also the email part.
For example new Yahoo mail won't load in safari (mountain lion). The loading time also more than Gmail.

Using Gmail since 2004 when it was even tough to get an invite for a gmail account :) Haven't shifted to any other email service since.

Same here, but I started using it in the early 2005. Still using my first mail registered, what can I say, I got thousands and thousands of mails in that inbox. :D Gmail is just fantastic, just as most of the other services created by Google is. :)
