Yet another placement check request

I recently was doing fairly well with adsense on my personal productivity site www. leahey.org. The last few days, though, I've seen my clicks decrease to basically nothing. Literally no more than $0.10/day on 350+ unique visitors.

Today I took a lesson from boingboing.net and added a coloration to my main Adsense box that makes the links look like the default visited color.

Any pointers on placement, coloration, blending, etc?

    Thanks a million.

Without a look at your site, I can't really tell but generally

Placement of the ads should be as close to your content as possible
Blending of text should be fine-tuned to the point whereby the ads has the same color of your content.

Generally, this is what I can tell you at the moment.
For Link ads, I will go for background being a different color as your main content ads... The best color of the text-link background is your menu background color... provided you can make them nice.
