Mike, I wouldn't doubt it. They actually called me a few days ago about some expiring domains. Since when do they do that? Since I exposed their ways? lol...

When you make changes to your account that negatively impacts them. I was a customer for while, and purchased many (not as much as some here) domains, for spans of a few years. Then I stopped, moved a domain or two before expiration, and then started moving domains as they expired. Soon, I was too receiving phone calls to 'renew' my domains asap over the phone. Like they wanted to pressure me for a current credit card.

Oh, remember my story about them wanting money from me because I was accused as a spammer? At the first threat, I canceled that card, so GD couldn't auto renew any domains if I forgot to set them to manual. Only a few more domains, and then I'll be clear of them. :D

    later,

Never ever give your account info to a payment processor or a website.
If you can't avoid it , open a second account a keep just a minimum amount of money in it. Whenever you receive a payment , transfer the money into the first account.

When you give your info away there's always the risk that "someone" can withdraw money from your account.
Yes, you can claim a not authorized withdrawal. But you don't wont to find yourself in that position, it's just an hassle avoidable.

If you think it can't happen, just take a look at the current situation with Scampay, errr StrongPain... err Stormpay.

    ..been there, done that..
