    Your connection is: 2205 Kbps (about 2.2 Mbps)
    You downloaded at: 269 kB/s
    Your TRuSPEED: ^info^ 2359 Kbps :: 288 kB/s (7% overhead factored)
    Bottom Line: You are running: 39 times faster than 56K and can download 1 megabyte in 3.81 second(s)
    Diagnosis: May need help : running at only 68.65 % of your hosts average (comcast.net)

    Which is why I am getting that 6Mb/768Kb speakeasy DSL line in here.

    I was wondering if anyone noticed. LOL....

    I just added some numbers on it. But just think in 10 years that may be standard for high speed!

    my web server I only have lynx on, so I decided to try downloading gaim - which is a 5 megabyte file:

    wget -N http://easynews.dl.sourceforge.net/sourceforge/gaim/gaim-1.2.0-0fc1.i386.rpm
    --07:59:06-- http://easynews.dl.sourceforge.net/sourceforge/gaim/gaim-1.2.0-0fc1.i386.rpm
    => `gaim-1.2.0-0fc1.i386.rpm'
    Resolving easynews.dl.sourceforge.net... 69.16.139.245
    Connecting to easynews.dl.sourceforge.net[69.16.139.245]:80... connected.
    HTTP request sent, awaiting response... 200 OK
    Length: 5,327,074 [application/x-redhat-package-manager]

    100%[====================================>] 5,327,074 898.68K/s ETA 00:00

    07:59:12 (886.60 KB/s) - `gaim-1.2.0-0fc1.i386.rpm' saved [5327074/5327074]

    =======

    I don't know how the math works, but I think that 886KB/s roughly equals about 7 MBPs. The download speed is of course affected by the server. EasyNews is usually pretty reliable so I figure it's pretty close to the max.
