Well logos are a subjective thing, but it looks good enough to me. If I had a suggestion, perhaps you could find a more complementary color scheme for the "BIF" text and the frame. The red and blue have quiet a contrast. But it's not all that bad.

It's a little plain - have you thought about using something like the GIMP (gimp.org) to add some effects? Also you could make it about twice as big because of all the space you have on the right hand side of the top of the screen. Would be good I think to make the title bigger and separate it out a bit from the sponsor Icons

Good start, infact I wouldn't change the design at all, it's simple and recognisable. Cluttering it with cheap effects from Photoshop or GIMP will ruin it

Just change the red to a dark gray and change the font to match the main text and I think you'll have a nice logo then :)

er yes, then don't use the cheap effects - use the good ones that are used by graphic designers all over the world. There are some brilliant script-fu downloads for GIMP.

I too find it very simple, IMO you should try some close effects to give more depth. Changing font will be one good idea.

Yes because real graphic designs do use cheap GIMP scripts for gimmicky effects, not.

Yes I do know graphic designers who use GIMP to great effect - I'm suggesting free software to the poster to help them. Everyone else in this thread agrees that the logo could do with being jazzed up a bit. Let the poster try the software and decide for themselves. This is the last I'm going to post on the thread as I feel its moving well away from the point which is to help the poster.

A bit overdone on the advertising and its very low quality, save it in a high quality .png
