Not sure about the red text in the ad on the right. I would try and make the ad look as much like the menu on the left as possible. J

    What?? This website isn't mine..
I just asked that if I had this article (look at the article long) in my website, where would you place an ad unit in the article and what format?

Do you mean article length? If so I would leave the ad where it is but remove the red text and make it more like the menu on the left...I dont think I would put an ad in the article body itself

What red text? Just look at the article only. Not the website...
If I will copy this article to my website, wouldn't you place an ad in the article body? Why ?

Placement is easy in my opinion.

You need to have an ad block under the post, so that when I'm done reading this very interesting article, I'm ready to click myself along.

In other words your ads links need to be where my eyes will most likely go after finishing reading the article. I would suspect that an article this interesting (I mean, Lower Cost Alternatives is always interesting, and in particular if about divorce and written by an attorney) would make a lot of people read through to the end and those people will also be ready to follow up on more interesting information (=> AdSense links).

As for the format... I want to tell you to try one concept (like ads that fall in with the general surroundings) and get valid statistics (closer to thousands of numbers than tens of numbers - it's a big numbers game). Then later you can try another concept (like ads that stand out from the general surroundings) and compare the two when you got similar amounts of numbers to crunch.

aahhh! I'm with you now! Sorry I didn't understand what you meant! I'd probably put tower ads alongside, the other option I would suggest would be to put an ad between 4th and 5th paragraphs.

Edit: It's very difficult to make any suggestions without knowing the site that it is going on!!

Guys, this is not my article and I'm not going to copy it to my website.
I just wanted to know where and what format of an ad unit you will place in article, no matter what article or any website...
It can be an article about family, food, death, internet etc..

Edit: Notting, why its so difficult? :|

because there are loads of different factors that you would take into account when deciding which size ad and format to use and they *depend* on the website the article is going on.
