Your Powerball Score

I bought a Powerball over the weekend hoping it will get my wrists strong in time for the wakeboard season and also to prevent RSI related problems.

I got the Techno version without the counter. I haven't been able to read the LEDs yet (still working on my technique but hampered by limited endurance) but was wondering what your highest RPM is.

According to the LEDs I'm up to about 9-10K now (pretty crap, I know).

See a video of a mighty high score here:

    So... Wat's your Powerball score?

I've not played with mine for ages ;) I do remember getting around 11,500 which caused addictive pain and little finger blisters.

Yeah it's a pretty good work out. Pretty knackering though! 5 minutes on a decent RPM and your wrists are sore and hurt as if you had.... (never mind; a comparison with adult stuff :) ).

You just have to watch the video to know what you're talking about TOPS. I was thinking to myself when I started watching it that this guy is doing something dodgy.

Does it really help your RSI though because I have noticed recently that my t hands have been getting a little stiffer than usual. I've bought a new ergonomic chair which will be arriving next week. So maybe that will help with where I'm putting my arms when I'm typing.

Where did you buy the chair? I could have sent you one...

When you're mousing away like I do, for up to 14 hours a day there won't be enough circulation in your hands which could be bad eventually. A quick Powerball session pumps some fresh blood with oxygen that way plus it will strengthen the muscles as well which can help in all sorts of sports and hobbies.

Really? I didn't know you sold chairs.

    I got it at www.furnitureatwork.co.uk

The one that is reduced from £55 to £26

It seemed like a pretty good deal

Not a bad deal. Ours are more expensive, some up to £124.95 but you'll find that cheap ones (I have a cheaper one at home and an expensive one in the office) have just 3 or 4cm padding and then there's no way you'll sit comfortably for >4 hours.

It's cool. I've got a leather one in Ireland and I'll show you a picture of the one I'm sitting on at the moment and you'll see why I need a chair.

Is it just the picture or are there some serious ass grooves in that chair?

I do! :D That's a crap chair indeed. It's almost worse than my Halls Of Residence shite furniture I had 3 years ago.

I'm sure the new posture chair will be a great improvement.

You can also sit on it trying to beat the Powerball world record (sneakily trying to drag it back on-topic :) ).

I was using another crap chair which I could have done the powerball from(topic) but the back broke. With this one it just couldn't be done.

I should start a new topic asking for the pictures of peoples chairs ;)

The powerball looks pretty cool by the way :D

Heh... I would order one, but we're moving soon, and I wouldn't want it sent to an address where we aren't at ;)
